# Trend Channel

A trend channel is a set of parallel trend lines defined by an asset's price action's highs and lows.

A trend channel, also known as a price channel, forms when the price moves between two parallel trendlines.

Trading channels can be drawn on charts to assist in identifying uptrends and downtrends.
